01Who we are

Bridge Labs is a product strategy, design and software engineering studio at 102 Rivonia Road, Sandton, Johannesburg, 2196, South Africa. We are the responsible party for the personal information described here. You can reach us at connect@bridgelabs.design.

02What we collect

When you contact us. Your name, email address, company, role and anything you choose to tell us about your project. Our contact and careers forms open your own email app, so nothing is stored by this site before you send it.

When you apply for a role. Your name, email, the role you want, links to your CV or portfolio and anything you include in your email. We use this only to assess your application, and delete it within 12 months unless you join us or ask us to keep it.

When you visit the site. Our hosting provider records standard technical information for each request: IP address, browser and device type, the page requested and the time. This site does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

03Why we use it

• To reply to you and discuss a possible project.
• To prepare proposals and, if we work together, to deliver and manage that work.
• To keep the site running, secure and free of abuse.
• To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We rely on your consent, on steps needed to enter into or perform a contract with you, on our legitimate interest in running our business, or on a legal obligation, as POPIA allows.

04Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, such as email, hosting and the content delivery network that serves this site’s animation library, with professional advisers where needed, or when the law requires it. Each provider may only use it to provide their service to us.

05Information that leaves South Africa

Some of our providers store or process information outside South Africa. We only use providers bound by laws, contracts or rules that give protection comparable to POPIA.

06How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted within 24 months. Project and financial records are kept for as long as the law requires. Hosting logs are kept for a short period set by our provider.

07How we protect it

We use access controls, encrypted connections and reputable providers to protect personal information. If a breach affects you, we will tell you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.

08Your rights

You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent at any time. Email connect@bridgelabs.design and we will respond within a reasonable time.

You may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.

09Children

This site is meant for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

10Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
